Half sister to our 3-time winner Go Chique and by the sire of Grade 1 winner Greaneteen

From precisely the same source as our 17 lengths Bumper winner Park Hill Dancer, could she be our next Marie’s Rock?

I NEED YOU, a  6yo mare by top sire Great Pretender, ran out a very impressive P2P Bumper winner at Wilton P2P, on her racecourse debut, just had Park Hill Dancer, only a few weeks earlier, before we purchased him privately from the Leslie Jefford yard. In her race, I Need You (white cap & yellow sleeves,) stalked the pace all the way, took up the running around 2.5f out and kept on super strong through the line. We loved her stride and head carriage, in watching the video back. 

GREAT PRETENDER, the sire of Benie Des Dieux and Greaneteen, amongst many other top class performers is a stallion who tends to excel with his fillies and mares in particular, and this strapping 16.2hh mare, is a half-sister to the Sussex and Devon Nationals winner Christmas In April, and our very own 3-time winner Go Chique. 

With youth very much on her side, she was purchased privately in April 2022 from T J Bloodstock. As you’d expect, from her very strong pedigree, we’re led to believe she’s a very talented mare, with a massive engine and a huge future over hurdles and fences, in time. We’re told she enjoys a bit of cut in the ground, and that she’ll stay further than 2m in time, possibly 3m will be within her compass eventualy.

The dream, of course, is to emulate Marie’s Rock in winning two Grade 1's in 2022 at both The Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals!

A big, strapping mare who has the world at her hooves. A sensational performance in her point to point bumper, one full of promise and talent and she has done nothing but please Donald at home in recent weeks. She is highly regarded by the yard she looks a high-class addition to our NH string.
