Purchased from France and sent to the mercurial trainer David O'Meara, who improves others' 'cast offs' for fun, Cold Stare is now a 7-time winner, with a highest RPR of 103
He is a very popular son of Intense Focus and is just the sort of horse who reminds us of our previous David O'Meara stalwart, PENITENT.
Cold Stare is a real favourite at MPR HQ. Runs every fortnight, wins at least one race every season, and it’s usually at a festival meeting and/or a Saturday. Competes in top class handicaps. Revels in soft and heavy ground and there looks like there’s no sign of his winning journey coming to an end. Loves Haydock, Doncaster and Goodwood.
The perfect syndicate horse!
Racing Update: Cold Stare is the perfect syndicate horse. We know him inside out and soft and heavy ground is the key. He runs, on average, every 14 days through the Flat season. Mostly in Saturdays and BIG festivals and generally wins at least one race, every year. Picks up far more than his fair share of prize money to boot. The perfect horse for anyone starting out in racehorse ownership, or for anyone who’s not had too much with their previous equine shareholdings. TIMEFORM RATED: 102. He was the 'Racing Post Eyecatcher from Doncaster at the weekend: "Cold Stare (4.20) had little luck in running and can make amends soon." His race entries/declarations will show on this page.
