Purchased at Europe's Premier Breeze Up Sale; April's Tattersalls Craven Sale, where every horse sold, qualifies for the £15,000 breeze up bonus. This essentially means, that should this colt win any class 4 maiden or novice this season, in addition to the regulation prize money that he earns, Tattersalls will gift his owners a £15,000 Bonus cheque.

Over the years, we've developed a fabulous relationship with Marco, he's a true gent of the turf and he's fantastic company too. His Prestige Place stables are really state of the art, situated just off the Bury Road with easy access to the famous Warren Hill.

We struck gold with our first Marco Botti breezer in Dark Acclaim who ran for us for a season and a half; he was rated over 100 and finished 4th for us in the Italian Derby, Group 2 on his final start for us, before being sold for 6 times his initial purchase price at the Goffs London Sale in the summer of his 3yo career.

Probably the most famous racing family in Italy, the Botti's are renowned for being excellent judges of a horse, it's in their genes and is part of their lifestyle, so it's no surprise that there is probably no better judge of a horse, breezing, than Marco himself.

This fantastically well-bred colt was the only horse that Marco identified to us that he would like to purchase for us, at the sale. We agreed that should he be lucky enough to secure him, then we'd be on board. At 60,000gns, we feel, Marco has unearthed a real gem.

This colt, performed an excellent breeze, demonstrating a superb stride pattern and a good head carriage. The breeze was quite enchanting. The stunning, chestnut colt looks a real athlete, being presented as fit as a flea by his consignor to show up well on the final furlongs of the Bunbury Mile; we think we can improve this colt still further by giving him a little time to fill out and mature. That's a process that could take 4 to 6 weeks. He possesses a great frame to work on and his movement patterns are fantastic. He looks like a miler in the making, who could hopefully be top class, given both sides of his pedigree have already been proven to be able to deliver. The dam has already produced Koropick, who is rated 113 and the sire Footstepsinthesand is responsible for any number of top-class horses, including our very own Group winners SANDIVA and MARIE'S DIAMOND. You can read about his sire here: https://coolmore.com/stallions/footstepsinthesand. There are no fewer than 21 Group performers in this colt's immediate pedigree, so there's every chance that we could be following suit.

From June onwards, this superbly bred individual, could easily be taking us to the big meetings in Great Britain and just possibly around Europe.

Please see his breeze and a video taken at Marco's yard the morning after the sale, in the gallery.
