Winner 9 of 2026: EUPATOR, trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by Sean Levey. The ‘Always Gamble Responsibly At BetMGM Handicap’ over 1m ½ f at Wolverhampton.

Nearly went off the mark at Lingfield a few days earlier, Eupator, well-deserved, opened his account with an impressive display at Wolverhampton on Friday.

Sean gave him a great front-running ride, able to dictate the whole way around, before kicking clear on the turn for home. He never met another rival and, in the end, won by 5 lengths.

Don't forget that we still have some shares available in our talented and consistent son of Persian King. Don't miss out, as he will return to the scene of the crime tomorrow, the 24th of January, trying to go back-to-back.

Timeform rated his maiden victory with a t87: "Showed improved form to get off the mark, looking well suited by the combination of drop in trip and return to front-running tactics; dictated, settled better than last 2 starts, quickened around 2f out, in command over 1f out, edged left final 1f, won easily; he's entered here again back over a slightly longer in the coming days and would hold an obvious chance if turning out under a penalty."

Syndicate Manager Tim Palin, straight after his victory: "Very well done, everyone. A very impressive display from Eupator. Sean seized the initiative and brilliantly rode them to sleep at the front end before sprinting for home to win by 5 lengths. Very well deserved. Congratulations, all!"

Winner 10 of 2026: CARDINAL POINT, trained by Michael Bell and ridden by Hector Crouch. The ‘BetMGM Supports Safer Gambling Fillies' Handicap’ over 1m4f at Wolverhampton.

We are very lucky to have some incredibly consistent horses within our ranks. But you would struggle to find a filly more consistent and honest than Cardinal Point. She won or has been placed in her last 11 races for our MPR owners, and after finishing runner-up in her last four starts, you could say her victory was overdue. Hector knows the filly well and rode her with plenty of confidence in midfield, slowly making headway around the bend, before disputing the lead inside the final 2 furlongs and winning handsomely by over 4 lengths.

Timeform rated her third victory with a t81: "Arguably unlucky not to win last time, is admirably consistent and proved better than ever to break a string of four successive runner-up finishes with a fully-fledged rider back in the saddle; in touch, led over 1f out, edged left, drew clear final 1f; she'll be due a hefty rise for this but the fact that she's versatile as regards trip (stays easy 2m) will give her options going forward."

Tim Palin, on Cardinal Point: "Congratulations on her victory. She won authoritatively in the end, and I thought Hector did really well to pull her out when he did, to avoid being stuck behind horses. She is incredibly consistent and genuine, and she might even still improve, after coming back in trip to 1m4f."
