Winner 36 of 2026: LEXINGTON JET, trained by David Loughnane and ridden by Rossa Ryan. The ‘Tigerbet.co.uk Money Back Specials Handicap (Chelmsford Mile Series Qualifier) (Div I)’ over 1 Mile at Chelmsford.

Our eye-catching chestnut knows his way around Chelmsford and underlines his love affair with the track, with yet another fine victory.

Lexington Jet got off to a great start, and Rossa was able to dictate the race from the front. Our frontrunner set strong fractions in the early part of the race, but his jockey managed to slow it down around the bend and get that so-called breather into him. They kicked for home at the top of the straight, and barring the eventual second, who pressed our three-time winner for a brief moment; Lexington Jet kept finding and pulled away in the final hundred yards to win comfortably by 1 ¾ lengths to retain his unbeaten record over the course and distance, this time, under Rossa Ryan.

Timeform rated his third victory with a p91: "Resumed progress and winning ways under a sound-tactical ride, again seen to very good effect with a tailwind to help, taking his record to 3 from 3 here this year; made running, went clear early, closed down approaching home turn, went on again final 1f, kept up to work."

Rossa Ryan spoke to the owners afterwards: "Well done on another nice win. He did that well this evening. He jumped brilliantly, and within a few strides, he disputed the lead. He was fresh and probably a touch free in the early stages, but settled nicely around the bend before we kicked for home. He kept finding and, in the end, won comfortably. He loves Chelmsford, but with the spring approaching fast, he should also do well on soft ground. Well done to all involved."

Gallant in defeat - What a run from IKARAK!

Just before Lexington Jet powered to a third career victory, Ikarak finished a brilliant third at the Cheltenham Festival, which took our earnings beyond £400.000 and felt like a winner at the odds of 40/1.

Huge well done to Sean Bowen for an excellent ride, Olly Murphy and his team at home, and, of course, to Ikarak, for providing us with a podium finish on the third day of the Festival.

For a brief moment, we really did dare to dream...
