Winner 66 of 2026: GLORIOUS KITTY, trained by Mick and David Easterby, and ridden by Lewis Chalkley. The ‘Oasis Summer Fruits Apprentice Handicap’ over 1mile at Ayr. 

After a rapid start, she disputed a clear lead of about 5 lengths easily and was always content at the front end. Turning for home, Glorious Kitty drifted to the middle of the track but kept her advantageous position well into the final two furlongs. The rest of the field managed to reduce her lead in the closing stages, but our filly established a big enough gap and was resolute to the line, to enable a first win to take the apprentice handicap under Lewis Chalkley.

Timeform rated her victory with a 76: "Back down in grade, finally got off the mark, seen to maximum effect under an enterprising ride; raced clear, closed down over 1f out, shaken up soon after, kept on; isn't an obvious type to follow up."
