Purchased from the Tattersalls Ireland Yearling Sale, this colt is by EXCELEBRATION and is the half-brother to Listed winner and Gr.2-placed TIME SHANAKILL
By the sire of three time Group 1 winner BARNEY ROY, out of a mare who has already produced the Listed and 10-time winner TIME SHANAKILL (Lord Shanakill) and Listed 2nd Va Tutto Bene (Hallowed Crown) this fabulous colt goes into training with the Middleham maestro, Mark Johnston and looks, every inch, a quality 2yo in the making, hopefully reminiscent of our Mark Johnston trained, Group 1 placed, Group 3 and Listed winner Marie’s Diamond.
He’s a strong, yet athletic, individual with a great walk and a super temperament on him.
He qualifies for the Tattersalls Ireland Super Sales race, at the Curragh in September, which carries over €100,000 to the winner. His pedigree and physique would suggest he is tailor made for that race. Eventually, he should stay 1 mile, and looks destined for a fabulous career, if his looks and pedigree combine on the track, as we believe they will. He looks a tough, strong sort, typical of the Mark Johnston horses you see at the races, day in day out, and these qualities are the reason we’ve placed him at the Johnston yard.
Horse and trainer, looks a perfect fit!

Racing Update: Timeform reported, after his debut win: "He made a winning start in good style, proving well clued up; chased leader, led around halfway, joined over 1f out, led again approaching final 100 yds, forged clear; he's got neither the appearance or pedigree of a mere early type and will improve" and awarded him a race rating of 91. FORM BOOST - The 3rd horse in the race KHUNAN, has come out and won on his second start. The Racing Post Monday Jury (see the gallery), picked him out as a 2 year old fancy for Royal Ascot.
