Purchased at the GOFFS PREMIER YEARLING SALE, he is by the late FAST COMPANY, who sadly died in March 2020. His progeny include Jet Setting, the G1 Irish 1000 Guineas winner, four-time Chilean Group 1 winner and GI Arlington Million victor Robert Bruce, G2 Norfolk Stakes winner Baitha Alga, G2 Ridgewood Pearl Stakes winner Devonshire, G3 Ballyogan Stakes winner Penny Pepper and G3 John of Gaunt victor Safe Voyage.
We’ve enjoyed some fabulous successes with horses purchased from Eddie O’Leary’s Lynn Lodge Stud, over the years, most notably with our Group 2 winning and dual Group 1 placed DONJUAN TRIUMPHANT, who won the Group 1 British Champions Sprint in 2019 and is now standing at stud in France.
Eddie’s eye, very much seems to match our own, and whenever we hook up in the sale’s ring, we appear to hit the bullseye on the racecourse. Purchased from Eddie, in conjunction with ace Bloodstock Agent Bobby O’Ryan; responsible for purchasing Coventry Stakes winner RAJASINGHE and Molecombe Stakes winner RUMBLE INTHEJUNGLE. He’s by the sire of the Norfolk winner BAITHA ALGA and FAST COMPANY, himself was the winner of the Acomb Stakes at York and runner up in the Dewhurst in his 2yo career.
He is from a very fast and talented family, which includes the Champion filly IMAGINE and over a dozen other Group and black type performers.
Trainer Update: Ben says that he has grown into a lovely big, long limbed individual, so he has given him time to grow into this frame. He says that he definitely 'has an engine under the bonnet' and that he has ability. He is a big horse with a lovely long stride to his work - Paul Mulrennan has been riding him and he likes him too. He has worked with a 4 year old rated 84 on the turf and worked just as well as he did, which for an unraced 2 year old, is very promising!
Ben has also schooled him over 6 flights and says that he took to that 'like a duck to water' so we have that in our locker should we feel we'd like to explore these further talents down the line with him!
Syndicate manager update: The reports from Ben continue to be bullish about this colt. He is working through nicely and making nice progress. We look forward to Ben giving him the green light to make his debut on the flat, but think he is worth waiting for, as the signs are that he is talented. A debut should be in December and the plan is to run very well on debut. His race entries will show on this page.
