Kodiac ex Light Glass Colt
York - Goffs UK Harry Beeby Premier Yearling Stakes (GBB Race)
*From the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale 2021. The sale where we purchased our Group 1 winner and Champion European 2yo 2013; TOORMORE (£36,000), Group 2 winner VENTURA TORMENTA and dual Group 2 winner KOOL KOMPANY (£40,000)*
DAM: Light Glass (Lope de Vega)
TRAINER: Clive Cox
At Middleham Park Racing, we are always searching for value for money for our owners, along with trying to find Saturday and Festival winners in waiting too, at time of purchase.
A sale such as Doncaster Bloodstock Sales (now rebranded Goffs Uk) has always offered value for money, combined with high class successes on the track. The MPR syndicate record of purchasing horses from Doncaster’s Premier Sale, is second to none, and, in combining with Clive Cox, who himself has purchased the likes of Harry Angel and Golden Horde from this sale, we have come up with a potentially lethal force! i.e., an MPR, Clive Cox and Doncaster Sales triumvirate.
Furthermore, Kodiac is one of the sires of the moment. Some would argue that there is no better, at producing sharp, fast, quality 2yo’s that excel on the highest stage than Tally Ho’s flagship stallion. Lest we forget, Kodiac is the sire of KODI BEAR, no less, who Clive describes as “the best horse I have trained.”
He’s all class, and ticks all the boxes.
Here is his walk and profile video:
Training update (19th January): Clive sent us a video update of him today, which you can watch in the gallery, with Clive's voiceover. He is the one in the red coat, he starts in third position when they jump off and then joins him on the other side when they come past the railings. He’s done very well physically - they have had a mild winter so they have been able to keep going all winter rather than having to stop and start on account of the weather Clive is very taken by our colt, he’s a very straightforward and sensible horse who, whilst we haven’t done anything at great speed, is impressing him in his early stages.
His race entries will show on this page - as you can see, he is entered in the £250k Goffs Premier Yearling Stakes, for 2-y-o's in August, at York, during the Ebor meeting.
