Race entries

This gorgeous filly was originally entered in the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale, which continues to be the leading National Hunt Store Sale anywhere in the world. But with all the sale dates being rescheduled, her consignor supplemented her, along with 54 other store horse consignors, into the newly named 'Goffs Summer Sale' held in Doncaster. She will be joining our unbeaten Listed winning star mare Marie's Rock with the Champion Trainer and we are very excited to have bought her!

She is by the outstanding National Hunt sire KAPGARDE out of an own-sister to Gr.3 Gold Cup Chase winner QUENTIN COLLONGES. Read about her sire here: http://hetraie.com/ and see his large impressive list of winning progeny in the gallery, including 7 at Grade 1 level: A PLUS TARD, CLAN DES OBEAUX, FAKIR D'OUDAIRIES, FEU FOLLET, MILORD THOMAS and PRINCE ALI. A great day for her sire, with A PLUS TARD winning the Grade 1 Savills Chase: https://www.racingpost.com/news/race-reports/just-in-time-a-plus-tard-flies-home-to-deny-kemboy-in-vintage-savills-chase/465506

See her walk and trot video here:

She looks like the type that should come to hand early, she's a big strong girl but looks racy enough at the same time. One would imagine that without any setbacks she should be more than up to making her debut in the spring of this coming national hunt season so there won't be too much waiting around for her.

There are some very nice Spring bumpers that we could almost certainly look at with her, who knows, maybe even the Mare's bumper at Aintree could factor into the reckoning if she comes to hand.

Our Nicky Henderson, Seven Barrows string has really taken a few boosts lately, from the Kim Muir 3rd, Premier Bond, through to the star, listed winning mare MARIE’S ROCK, who, prior to picking up a niggle in February last year, was a clear favourite for the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, no less. Nicky has some very exciting plans for her this coming season; as she has been given early closing entries at the 2021 Cheltenham Festival.

Training update (20th January): She has settled into life at at the Champion Trainers yard well, as she completed all of her education work at pre-training. We are now in a position where we can begin to start upping her work, this would normally begin on the grass, but given just how wet it is at home we need to do this on the all-weather. She is taking everything very well and is a very straight forward and well mannered filly to deal with, which is fabulous to hear! We have added a photo of her in her stable at Seven Barrows in the gallery.

Here she is, looking mighty fine! We have also added a video of her cantering in the gallery.
