*New Colt - From the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale 2021. The sale where we purchased our Group 1 winner and Champion European 2yo 2013; TOORMORE (£36,000), Group 2 winner VENTURA TORMENTA and dual Group 2 winner KOOL KOMPANY (£40,000) All trained by RICHARD HANNON!*
SIRE: Havana Grey, who in his first season as a sire, was in demand at the sale, as The Racing Post reported: https://www.racingpost.com/bloodstock/sales-news/first-crop-sires-in-demand-as-havana-grey-colt-fetches-110000/507470
DAM: Lady Estella (Equiano)
TRAINER: Richard Hannon
Both Richard Hannon Snr and Jnr have made a career out of buying horses from Doncaster Sales (rebranded Goffs Uk) and achieving with them; notably horses like Canford Cliffs, Toormore, Kool Kompany, Happy Romance, Mums Tipple etc.
Strong, racy sorts are precisely what type both Hannon’s have thrived with, and here we have the archetypal Hannon horse. This colt is a ready to run type horse, i.e., he should be one of the earliest runners from the 2022 Hannon 2yo string, such is his strong substance and hardy physique; he looks as tough as old boots. He was the nicest Havana Grey horse in the entire sale, in our humble opinion, and at £40,000, he, very possibly, represents the best value in the whole catalogue, given some Havana Grey progeny sold for considerably more than £40,000.
For decades, Doncaster has been a recipe for success for both the Hannon’s AND ourselves. He’s the perfect type of 2022 2yo, for any first-time owner. He’d come highly recommended.

PEDIGREE UPDATE (3rd Sept): Stubble Field, his half-sister, took an eye catching 2nd on debut at Ascot today:
Training update (9th September): He is receiving his education at Richie McGrath's pre training yard, where we send many of our yearlings each year. Richie says: "He is progressing well and is currently lunging with one and two reins, stopping and starting on command and has started long reining in the lunge ring and arena. The next stage will see him long reining in open spaces along with getting used to someone starting to lean over him." See these video updates of him in the gallery.
