We’ve done so, so well with graduates of the Osarus Sales, most notably Group 1 placed Boitron, the multiple winning Lexington Dash and the black type performer Tigre Du Terre, from a very small sample size of purchases (probably only half a dozen).
We’ve found, over the years, that this sale represents, probably, the best value of the yearling season, given the type of horse that is presented and the attendance (or lack of it) of most GB and Irish based agents. We’ve tapped into the Osarus market with a success rate, second to none.
By GUTAIFAN, he qualifies for French Owner Premiums.
Gutaifan wouldn’t be the most fashionable of stallions, but he’s already shown he can produce Group winning juveniles and classic placed prospects too, and this colt represents the best Gutaifan individual that we’ve seen this sales’ season. He’s a real stunner. He’s a fabulous athlete with and exceptional walk. He was our nap of any horse in this particular sale, so it was no surprise to us to see his price tag top proceedings. He’s out of a black type, very speedily bred mare, and hails from a really strong and deep pedigree page (see this attached.)
See his walk here:
He’s a really good-sized colt, and with all the speed on the page, we thought he’d be a perfect fit for Tom Dascombe. We could see him winging around Chester or Haydock en route to places like Ascot and Epsom. Tom’s runners seem to excel at all four of those tracks.
Depending on how he matures, he looks a 6f debutant, anytime from May 2022 onwards. Make no mistake, however, he’s not just a 2yo, he’s got plenty of size and scope too. Importantly he looks strong too and should thrive on hard work next Spring and Summer.
We can’t fault him!
After the superb success of KAYFAST WARRIOR this season (his 2021 race form figures from May to July read: 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 1st, 1st, 1st 1st, 2nd and 1st) we were very keen to send another yearling to Mr Dascombe!
