Purchased at the Tattersalls Ireland Yearling Sale, this filly is by CAMACHO. Sire of French 1,000 Guineas winner TEPPAL, Group 2 Queen Mary and Prix Robert Papin winner SIGNORA CABELLO and many more 'Stakes' performing fillies.
We couldn’t help but be attracted to this really good sized, loose moving filly, the moment we first saw her. She looks a typical Johnston type, good size, good presence with a good length of limb. Not just a sharp and early sort, she looks the type of individual who could be ready to race in May or June, just ahead of the Royal Ascot meeting, but we can see her progressing too, throughout 2023 and 2024, at distances up to a mile.
Camacho is one of the longest established stallions there is, and he can sire classic winners and sprinters alike. The mare has already produced a horse rated in excess of 100 and this filly hails from a black type family steeped in Group race genes.
Hopefully she can prove to be another Marie’s Diamond or Dear My Friend for us and Charlie & Mark to enjoy.
Tim says “she just struck us immediately as a Johnston type. She’s got a great action and is a strong, imposing individual.”
