ALL THREE OF THE DAM’S WINNING PROGENY WON AS A 2YO

Michael Dods is a new trainer to the MPR roster - we’ve long since admired him as a trainer. As a rule of thumb, he appears to excel with his sprinters: Mecca’s Angel, Comanche Falls, Dakota Gold and currently the recent Gimcrack winner, Arapaho Gold - purchased as a yearling for €42,000.

In turn, we felt it appropriate then to send him a speed-on-speed (Acclamation on Exceed And Excel) individual with sprinting genes and sprinting looks - and hence, presumably, sprinting prowess.

This stunning, very strong, and fluid-moving colt is a FULL BROTHER to the officially rated 98, high-class 5f & 6f 2yo performer Albion Square. Furthermore, his dam, Aristocratic, has produced the RPR 99-rated Dark Cloud Rising and hails from the family of AUDIENCE & ESQUIRE, no less.

Purchased for 42,000gns our Acclamation colt threatens to be sharp and racy - he already looks like a 2yo so we can perfectly envisage him being out in April or May 2027 over sprint distances - Arapaho Gold made his debut at Thirsk on 2nd May ahead of visits to Newbury and York as the season progressed and he looks destined to become one of the highest rated 2yo’s of the 2026 season.

With this fabulous colt, we dare to dream of  Royal Ascot  - MPR were represented in 3 of the 6 2yo races there in 2026 - with the Norfolk Stakes the most likely race fit for this chap. In addition, he also qualifies for races like the Weatherbys Super Sprint and Redcar 2yo Trophy - both races MPR have won previously with Anthelia, Ventura Mist & Eddie’s Boy - so these sorts of races aren’t just pipe dreams.

He also qualifies perfectly for the £200,000 Tattersalls Auction Stakes, both held at Newmarket in August:

He looks destined for a thoroughly exciting 2027, where the sky could really be the limit to where & when he may race.
