"It has been a pleasure to train for Middleham Park Racing which must be one of the most successful and professionally run syndicates in British racing. The dedication to and knowledge of both Flat and National Hunt Racing is second-to-none and, with so many lovely people involved and a huge number of very talented horses, it is easy to see why they are so successful."
Nicky Henderson was crowned Champion Trainer for the fourth time in 2016/17 and we are delighted to be associated with the Seven Barrows team. We had our best ever season with 6 winners from the yard, including competing at the Cheltenham Festival and Scottish Grand National with Premier Bond.
Nicky Henderson began his training career in 1978, after being assistant to the legendary Fred Winter. He moved to the historic Seven Barrows yard with its private gallops in 1992 and has not looked back. The yard has excellent facilities and plenty of land around for the horses to relax when out of training or between races. It really is the perfect place to train.
He is legendary within National Hunt racing, having been champion jumps trainer 3 times and achieving 55 Cheltenham Festival winners. He has been regularly featured in the media over the past few seasons parading with his 'stable stars': Names that many will recognise, such as; Bobs Worth, Long Run, Binocular, Simonsig, Darlan, Oscar Whisky, My Tent Or Yours, L'Ami Serge, Peace And Co, Altior, Buveur D'Air and of course the star chaser Sprinter Sacre!
We currently have 8 horses in training with Nicky. Premier Bond is currently our highest rated National Hunt horse and looks to have a burgeoning campaign ahead of him. With two exciting new horses by Malinas and Special Kaldoun, we foresee another successful season throughout 2017 and beyond.
We were thrilled with the 2016-2017 season and look forward to some more exciting days racing as well as visiting Seven Barrows to see our string-days that owners make sure they keep their diaries free for, as Nicky's hospitality is legendary!
