Winner 26 is Ninetythreetwenty
Well NINETYTHREETWENTY left it late to power past the rest of the field at Pontefract last evening. He has taken his name literally and has decided to replicate Sergio Aguero's late goal; 20 seconds into the 93rd minute*!
He backed up his win on debut by taking the £25k 6f feature Conditions race under Paul Hanagan. He did it in fine style by 2 and 3/4 lengths and is our third 2yo winner (of the six we have had in total) from the RICHARD FAHEY stable, who are certainly on fire!
Many congratulations to his very happy owners, who will now need to sort their hats for Royal Ascot, as he will likely head straight to The Coventry Stakes.
Another good day at the office for us, with two 2nd places (at big prices) from Ice Cold In Alex and Dalshand and a 4th from Axel Jacklin from our four runners.
We are thrilled by the performances of our horses so far this year and have an 'embarrassment of riches' when it comes to Group and listed race entries in the diary. Royal Ascot could well be our biggest string ever at this stage, with 9 horses currently pencilled in. More on that in a couple of days.....
*For those of you who follow Middleham Park Racing horses, you may have noticed over the years one or two Manchester City themed names and this is one of those. 93:20 was the exact moment of the final premier league game of the season when Sergio Aguero scored to secure the title for the blue side of Manchester. We have had many high quality horses named in honour of the team or players, Captain Dunne, De Bruyne Horse, Aguerooo and Kool Kompany to name but a few!
