Revich continues our fine form!
Well July has been a scorcher - not just off the track, but on the turf too, from the fast hooves of our horses! We have had 11 runners to date, with 8 finishing 1st or 2nd!
Three runners yesterday produced two 2nd places for both our David O'Meara horses - STAR SHIELD (Yarmouth) and SOUTHERN ROCK (Haydock), followed by a winner in the evening....
Our Richard Spencer trained 3 year old REVICH, stepped back up to 7 furlongs at Epsom; a trip he had previously won over at Chester under Luke Morris. So when the duo were reunited, we had at least done what we could to give him the best opportunity - even the going description was the same!
Many of his owners had made the journey from far and wide - some driving for over 5 hours, so gathering in the paddock, we were hopeful he could run well. He certainly looked a picture. Luke knew exactly what the planned riding strategy was, so as they headed out onto the track, we all moved to our viewing positions to watch....
He broke very well from the stalls and was immediately in front, with Luke letting him stride on. He had his ears pricked as he headed to Tattenham Corner, taking the turn very well indeed. As the long home straight loomed, he was still striding out enjoying himself in front. Luke still quiet in the saddle, as others came off the bridle. 1 furlong out he asked him to quicken - a quick change of legs, his head going down as he made the extra effort, he repelled the challengers to stay on well and win by 3/4 of a length, never being passed.

There were cheers and hugs for everyone as the celebrations took place in the famous Epsom winners circle! We then sipped champagne as we watched the race replay in the winners' suite, followed by the distribution of the race trophies amongst his syndicate.
Very well done to Richard for his two winners yesterday, thank you to Luke for a perfect ride and many congratulations to the owners of Revich.
