Drawn towards the outer in 8, he was smartly away and Oisin did a super job of getting him across without expending extra effort, as he took the lead. Still striding out in front, he kept on well from over 1f out. His lead was reduced towards the finish, but he was always doing enough, winning by 1/2 a length.

Timeform gave him a career best t93+ performance rating and say: "Whose stable is going well, took his form up another notch with a top rider back on board, making it 3 wins from his last 4 starts back up in trip and worth affording a bit of extra credit having forced a sound gallop; led, travelled well, ridden over 1f out, went clear entering final 1f, closed down final 50 yds, always holding on."
