WINNER 87 OF 2021: FATHER JOHN, trained by Nicky Henderson and ridden by James Bowen: 'The Cazoo Novices' Hurdle' over 2m 4f at Worcester.
The race began at a slow pace, with James, taking him to the outer and racing in mid-division. Making headway, he moved into third before 3 flights from home and then took 2nd, although a mistake 2 out, lost him a little momentum. It looked all over, as he was 3 lengths down at the final fence, but he rallied and stayed on strongly to win by 1 1/2 lengths.

James Bowen said: "He travelled nicely and jumped well for the majority of the race. He will get further in time and I hope that he can keep progressing."
