We work with the best bloodstock agents in the business in PETER & ROSS DOYLE, HIGHFLYER, PETER & TOBY JONES and TOM MALONE, buying horses we hope will compete at the highest level. Well 2022 saw our dreams fulfilled, with the dual GRADE 1 WINS, from our Nicky Henderson trained MARIE'S ROCK: She won the Grade 1 Close Bros' Mares Hurdle at The Cheltenham Festival (pictured above) and the Grade 1 Coolmore Kew Gardens Irish EBF Mares Champion Hurdle at The Punchestown Festival. 

HOW IT BEGAN: We had earlier forays across both codes, courtesy of The Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot winner JUNIOR. He's a legend and enjoying a very happy retirement, which is important to us. It was at the 2013 Tattersalls Ireland ‘Derby sale’ when we embarked on our enhanced National Hunt Racing adventure with Nicky Henderson OBE. It was here that Tom Palin, our National Hunt manager, acquired our first two store horses; in Premier Bond (pictured above) and Towering. Towering went on to win three times, including at Cheltenham (not bad for his price tag of €22k.) Premier Bond won four times across all three disciplines; Bumper, Hurdles and Steeple-chasing, including on a most memorable day for his owners, placed a super 3rd in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival.

We are now privileged to have horses in training with leading trainers around the country. We have our largest strings with the 14-time Champion and current holder of the title, Paul Nicholls OBE and 6-time Champion Trainer Nicky Henderson OBE.

When purchasing a share in our National Hunt horses, the likely duration of these syndicates are a number of years, possibly up to 4 or 5 years with just the one, initial upfront payment required. A jumps horse effectively has three careers: a National Hunt Flat (bumper) career, a hurdles career and a chase career. A flat syndicate tends to run for a year or two, with each horse having just one career, so we think a NH horse represents significant value compared to Flat racing.

Unfortunately in the last 15 years, the purchase of NH stock has become hugely expensive, but we are determined to bring our owners the very best chance possible to compete alongside National Hunt racing's elite. If the up front cost of purchasing a share is looking a tad prohibitive, we can spread the cost across the first 18 months of your ownership experience too if you wish.
