"It has been a pleasure to train for Middleham Park Racing which must be one of the most successful and professionally run syndicates in British racing. The dedication to and knowledge of both Flat and National Hunt Racing is second-to-none and, with so many lovely people involved and a huge number of very talented horses, it is easy to see why they are so successful!"
Nicky Henderson, Champion Trainer 2017/18

"Ownership of a National Hunt horse was a personal dream and I’ve enjoyed runners at top venues and race-days, including the Cheltenham Festival, Ascot and Sandown."
It was at the 2013 Tattersalls Ireland ‘Derby sale’ when we embarked on our National Hunt Racing adventure with Nicky Henderson. It was here that Tom, our National Hunt manager, acquired our first two store horses; in Premier Bond (pictured right) and Towering.
Towering went on to win three times, including at Cheltenham (not bad for his price tag of €22k) and Premier Bond won four times in all three disciplines; Bumper, Hurdles and Steeple-chasing, which is of course what he was bought for. He also placed a super 3rd in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival, which was such an emotional moment for Tom and ‘Premier’s’ owners.
The following year we bought Divine Spear from the same sale and he too has gone on to win in all three disciplnes, winning his Bumper (on debut), over hurdles (see the photo above) and twice over fences. He isn’t the smallest individual in the world and being a half-brother to a Grade 1 winning chaser, it’s no surprise that he has taken so well to novice chasing! His first major target of the 2018/2019 NH season will be the Paddy Power Chase at Cheltenham.
We are delighted to be associated with Nicky Henderson, having eight horses at Seven Barrows and we congratulate him on being crowned Champion Trainer for the fifth time in 2017/18. Now also with Cheltenham Festival winning trainers Gordon Elliott and Alan King also training jumps horses for us, we have been able to offer more opportunities for ownership of top quality horses within this sphere.
We added two young recruits to the Seven Barrows string in 2017 in Jen's Boy and El Kaldoun and this year we bought the most gorgeous daughter of Milan from the prestigious Goffs Landrover Sale. Out of a Flemensfirth mare, she has been named Marie's Rock and we are thrilled that Nicky Henderson actually asked us if he could train her. Now that is an affirmation if ever there was one!
When purchasing a share in our National Hunt horses, the likely duration of these syndicates are a number of years, possibly up to 4 or 5 years with just the one, initial upfront payment liable. A jumps horse effectively has three careers: a National Hunt Flat (bumper) career, a hurdles career and a chase career. A flat syndicate tends to run for a year or two, with each horse having just one career, so we think a NH horse represents significant value compared to Flat racing. We work with the best National Hunt bloodstock agents in the business in HIGHFLYER, in an attempt to compete at the very highest level, with Cheltenham aspirations firmly on our radar. Unfortunately in the last 15 years, the purchase of NH stock has become hugely expensive, but we are determined to bring our owners the very best chance possible to compete alongside National Hunt racing's elite. If the up front cost of purchasing a share is looking a tad prohibitive, we can spread the cost across the first 18 months of your ownership experience too if you wish.
Please do get in touch with Tom if you are interested in becoming a National Hunt owner with us on 07909 915079 or via firstname.lastname@example.org
