"It has been a pleasure to train for Middleham Park Racing which must be one of the most successful and professionally run syndicates in British racing. The dedication to and knowledge of both Flat and National Hunt Racing is second-to-none and, with so many lovely people involved and a huge number of very talented horses, it is easy to see why they are so successful!"
Nicky Henderson OBE.

"Ownership of a National Hunt horse was a personal dream and I’ve enjoyed runners at top venues and big race-days, including the Cheltenham Festival, Ascot and Sandown." MPR Owner.
It was at the 2013 Tattersalls Ireland ‘Derby sale’ when we embarked on our National Hunt Racing adventure with Nicky Henderson OBE. It was here that Tom Palin, our National Hunt manager, acquired our first two store horses; in Premier Bond (pictured right) and Towering. Towering went on to win three times, including at Cheltenham (not bad for his price tag of €22k) and Premier Bond won four times in all three disciplines; Bumper, Hurdles and Steeple-chasing, which is of course what he was bought for. He also placed a super 3rd in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival, which was such an emotional moment for Tom and ‘Premier’s’ owners.
We purchased Seven Barrows inmates El Kaldoun, Marie's Rock and Father John from the 2018 NH 'Store Sales' - they all came out and won on debut, so our team's efforts to find the right horses have paid dividends! The impressive Marie's Rock is now 3 from 3 and has done her owners proud in her first season hurdling!
At the 2019 Tattersalls Ireland Derby Store Sale, we purchased two 3 year old's for Mr Henderson to train: A filly by Crillon, named Go Chique and Lelantos, a gelding by Presenting. Two exciting young recruits to our jumps team for 2020, both of whom are now fully syndicated and awaiting their debuts.
Since then, we have increased our portfolio over the jumps and welcomed additional trainers to the team. We are privileged to have horses in training with both the current, 6-time Champion Trainer Nicky Henderson OBE and the 11-time Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls OBE, who we congratulate on both being awarded their OBE's in the 2020 New Year honour's list. We have welcomed back David Pipe to our NH roster too, having previously had a very famous Pond House partnership with Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot winner JUNIOR. Legal History, was purchased from the 2018 Autumn Tattersalls Horses-In-Training sale and has already earned more than the price we paid for him over hurdles in his first season jumping and looks a young horse on the up! We also added the exciting Crossing Lines to our Pond House string at the end of 2019, having been purchased privately from Ireland.
We are also thrilled to have added more horses to our Paul Nicholls string, with Get The Appeal and Red Risk. Paul and Tom attended the Arqana Autumn Sale in November and returned with yet another exciting addition for Ditcheat; in Glajou.
We are also delighted to welcome back Ben Pauling. We've been looking to place the right horse with Ben for over 12 months now and we're sure we've hit on the right recipe for success in the shape of the lightly raced, improving gelding Imperial Knight (last few shares available!) By the progressive young sire MAHLER; this gelding is still learning his craft, but he's open to any amount of improvement, as he continues to mature and as we step him up in distance. We have a few nice options for him coming up, with a view to contesting Festival handicaps.
In January, at the Tattersalls Cheltenham NH sale, we finally found the right horse to send to Colin Tizzard! We asked renowned bloodstock agents Peter and Ross Doyle to source the right horse in conjunction with Colin and they have come up trumps, with the dual P2P winner Nelsons Rock. Shares have just been released in him, as he is set to run in bumpers when the new 2020 season begins. Of course, the sky could be limit, once using his jumping assets that he’s clearly shown, in his two time winning, Point To Point career. See his full details, videos and share prices here: Nelsons Rock, by Mount Nelson.
When purchasing a share in our National Hunt horses, the likely duration of these syndicates are a number of years, possibly up to 4 or 5 years with just the one, initial upfront payment required. A jumps horse effectively has three careers: a National Hunt Flat (bumper) career, a hurdles career and a chase career. A flat syndicate tends to run for a year or two, with each horse having just one career, so we think a NH horse represents significant value compared to Flat racing. We work with the best National Hunt bloodstock agents in the business in PETER & ROSS DOYLE, HIGHFLYER, TOBY JONES and TOM MALONE, in an attempt to compete at the very highest level, with Cheltenham aspirations firmly on our radar. Unfortunately in the last 15 years, the purchase of NH stock has become hugely expensive, but we are determined to bring our owners the very best chance possible to compete alongside National Hunt racing's elite. If the up front cost of purchasing a share is looking a tad prohibitive, we can spread the cost across the first 18 months of your ownership experience too if you wish.
