"It has been a pleasure to train for Middleham Park Racing which must be one of the most successful and professionally run syndicates in British racing. The dedication to and knowledge of both Flat and National Hunt Racing is second-to-none and, with so many lovely people involved and a huge number of very talented horses, it is easy to see why they are so successful!"

"Ownership of a National Hunt horse was a personal dream and I’ve enjoyed runners at top venues and race-days, including the Cheltenham Festival, Ascot and Sandown." MPR Owner.
It was at the 2013 Tattersalls Ireland ‘Derby sale’ when we embarked on our National Hunt Racing adventure with Nicky Henderson. It was here that Tom Palin, our National Hunt manager, acquired our first two store horses; in Premier Bond (pictured right) and Towering. Towering went on to win three times, including at Cheltenham (not bad for his price tag of €22k) and Premier Bond won four times in all three disciplines; Bumper, Hurdles and Steeple-chasing, which is of course what he was bought for. He also placed a super 3rd in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival, which was such an emotional moment for Tom and ‘Premier’s’ owners. The following year we bought Divine Spear from the same sale and he too has gone on to win in all three disciplines, winning his Bumper (on debut), over hurdles and twice over fences.
We are delighted to have horses in training with both the 2017/18 Champion Trainer Nicky Henderson and the current Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls, who we congratulate on winning the title for the 11th time. We welcomed back David Pipe to our NH roster too at the end of 2018. We previously had a very famous Pond House partnership with Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot winner JUNIOR. Our new horse with David named Legal History, was purchased from the 2018 Autumn Tattersalls Horses-In-Training sale and has already earned more than the price we paid for him over hurdles for us this year and looks a young horse on the up!
We purchased El Kaldoun, Marie's Rock and Father John from the 2018 NH 'Store Sales' - they have all come out and won on debut, so our team's efforts to find the right horses have paid dividends! At the 2019 Tattersalls Ireland Derby Store Sale, we purchased two 4 year old's: A filly, by CRILLON - sire of Buveur D'Air no less! You can see her page and share prices here: Crillon filly and a gelding by the wonder NH sire, PRESENTING. You can see his page and share prices here: Presenting gelding. Both are trained by Nicky Henderson and are two exciting recruits to our jumps team for the 2019/20 season.
We are also thrilled to have added more horses to our Paul Nicholls string this year, having purchased Get The Appeal and Red Risk (both whose shares are fully sold). Paul and Tom attended the Arqana Autumn Sale in November and returned with yet another exciting addition to our Ditcheat string, in Glajou, by Network. Shares have just been launched in him, so don't miss out!
We are also delighted to welcome back Ben Pauling this year too. We've been looking to place the right horse with Ben for over 12 months now and we're sure we've hit on the right recipe for success in the shape of the lightly raced, improving gelding Imperial Knight. By the progressive young sire MAHLER; this young7yo gelding has been placed on every completed outing under rules, he is still learning his craft, but he's open to any amount of improvement, as he continues to mature and as we step him up in distance. See his full details and share opportunities by clicking on his name. So an exciting 2019/20 season beckons with our existing and new National Hunt horses!
When purchasing a share in our National Hunt horses, the likely duration of these syndicates are a number of years, possibly up to 4 or 5 years with just the one, initial upfront payment liable. A jumps horse effectively has three careers: a National Hunt Flat (bumper) career, a hurdles career and a chase career. A flat syndicate tends to run for a year or two, with each horse having just one career, so we think a NH horse represents significant value compared to Flat racing. We work with the best National Hunt bloodstock agents in the business in HIGHFLYER and TOM MALONE, in an attempt to compete at the very highest level, with Cheltenham aspirations firmly on our radar. Unfortunately in the last 15 years, the purchase of NH stock has become hugely expensive, but we are determined to bring our owners the very best chance possible to compete alongside National Hunt racing's elite. If the up front cost of purchasing a share is looking a tad prohibitive, we can spread the cost across the first 18 months of your ownership experience too if you wish.
