SPECTACULAR STYLE was purchased privately and will remain with Roger Varian.

He tore the opposition apart last time out, winning by 20 lengths, in a fast time, as the Racing Post commented “eased from over 1f out, canter”.

Handicapped at 84, Roger feels there is plenty more to come and he’s working back from The Copper Horse handicap at Royal Ascot 2024. A son of the mighty Frankel out of a Montjeu mare, he’s bred to stay particularly well and he’s a full brother to a horse rated 104. There ought to be further improvement physically, as well as up in distance, and as this 3yo colt matures into his huge frame. He’s done well to achieve what he has already in his very short career.

He has all the hallmarks of those Newmarket horses who rise through the ranks as they mature and race over extended trips. Northumberland Plates & Ebor’s could easily be on the agenda if Roger’s projected trajectory for him is correct. He’s still an entire, and we could choose to geld him at some point, which should bring out further improvement.
