Race entries

Beautifully bred, by Cheveley Park Stud, this 2yo filly, is needing a bit of time, typical of most offspring of the up-and-coming sire Ulysses: "BY A DERBY WINNER OUT OF AN OAKS WINNER." Read about him here: http://www.cheveleypark.co.uk/stallion/ulysses/

She’s bred to excel, up in distance, later this year and next.

*100% GBB BONUS QUALIFIED* She could earn us £20,000, in addition to regulation prize money, for each maiden, novice or conditions race she were to win. She’s guaranteed untried, she’s only been cantering and has never been asked to gallop against other horses, she just needs more time; something that the elite owners that she had, felt could be afforded her elsewhere. Read about the GBB Bonus scheme here.

Given our purchase price tag of just 3000gns, she looks a fantastic opportunity to own a racehorse, potentially win races and make some kind of economic sense of our spend. As soon as she’s placed or wins a race, her value can spiral, northwards, given her Cheveley Park genes.

The likely plan is to race her from October to February, initially. If she happens to have very limited ability, we’d move her on at that point, at the February Sale. If she is a winner and capable of winning a further race or two, we’d probably move her on, via the July Sale 2023, and if she turns out to be a high-class handicapper or black type filly, as her genes suggest she might, we’d keep her longer and enjoy the ride.

We’re very excited about the project, it looks like an inexpensive bit of fun, with a potentially sizeable upside, best case scenario. She looks a fantastic, and inexpensive opportunity.

(Note that the monthly training fees don't begin until October 1st 2022.)
