Race entries

His sire Sir Prancelot the racehorse, needs no introduction given that he was a top class performer on the racetrack. We purchased him from the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale. You can see from the photos that he is a smashing individual and from the videos of him that not only is he a great mover, but he also has a bombproof temperament.

Percy (as he is known at the yard) raced just the once at two and was green and a bit awkward for jockey Cam Hardie at the start and during the race, but the penny dropped late and he ran on very nicely, sticking his head down going to the line. Cam was very complimentary about him and thought he was a nice prospect for the future. We subsequently have given him time to mature and grow, which we feel has been a real benefit to him. He has a cracking attitude and Ben has been schooling him over hurdles and says he is a natural. There are boundless opportunities now ahead in his race programme and there is a lot of fun to be had with 'Percy' in both disciplines!

Prancing Oscar won nicely at Wolverhampton in July, showing a really gutsy attitude (read the news story on the right). He followed that up with a solid 3rd place over 1/2f further on the turf at Musselburgh.

Trainer update: (3rd Nov) Percy has had a few silly little niggles over the last few weeks which we have got to the bottom of. Luckily he hasn’t missed much work whilst doing this and will head to Southwell on the 13th November for a mile 0-70, before we look for his hurdle debut!
