Purchased at THE sale for 2-year-old winners, the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale, this filly is from the first crop of yearlings by the former Richard Hannon inmate OLYMPIC GLORY. Winner of four Group 1 races, he was joint top rated British 2 year old  in 2012 and World top rated 3 year old colt in 2013. We have been very fortunate to be able to secure this very strong and great moving daughter of Olympic Glory. In his racing life, Olympic Glory was a genuinely top class, Group 1 winning son of the mighty Choisir. Now a first season stallion, Olympic Glory seems to be stamping his stock in very similar fashion to both himself and his sire Choisir. Both were mighty in both senses of the word, mighty in achievement and mighty and strong; this filly is very reminiscent, being a very strong and sizeable individual. You could criticise her for looking a little plain, but handsome is as handsome does and both Choisir and Olympic Glory were a little plain to the eye too. They were both great movers however and this filly moves especially well. She handles herself fantastically for a big girl.  She's out of a Selkirk mare so you would imagine distances of around a mile will suit her in time, but Choisir was a sprinter and Olympic Glory debuted over 6f at Goodwood before finishing second shortly after over 6f in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.  Her pedigree is packed with numerous black type performers, her great grand dam was the Oaks and St Leger winning Sun Princess so it would come as little surprise if she were to emulate any one of the 15 black type performers that sit amongst her pedigree. Physicality stood both Sky Lantern and Olympic Glory in fantastic stead and it really ought to do the same for this daughter of Olympic Glory.

It would be no surprise at all if this filly were to emulate her sire in being ready to race over 6f in May 2018 before developing still further over 7f and a mile. One thing is for sure, team Hannon, with their knowledge of the family, will know precisely how to train every ounce of performance into this very well put together filly.

In November, we received the video above of her from Tom Ward who looks after the Everleigh yard where she is stabled, with a full commentary on her progress; she is described as "a filly who Tom Marquand chooses to ride out most days - he is really happy with her, says she has a bit of attitude, but all the best fillies do! She is doing everything really well and is a great mover.

Latest trainer report (3rd Feb):  Richard reports her as being a typical Goffs Doncaster 2 year old filly, i.e. racey, sharp and early. They are very pleased with what she is showing at home, is a good mover and every jockey who has ridden her pick her as one they really like. Tom Ward says "she has an engine" as she powers up the Everleigh gallops.
