*We purchased him from the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale 2022, for £28,000. This is the best Sale of the season for 2yo’s. It is where we purchased our Group 1 winner and Champion European 2yo 2013; TOORMORE (£36,000), Group 2 winner VENTURA TORMENTA and dual Group 2 winner KOOL KOMPANY (£40,000)*
By MUHAARAR, Tim says: “Would have made a whole heap more in the ring if he was by a more fashionable stallion. You have to have very very deep pockets in racing if you want to follow fashion and have success on the track. We prefer a value for money route, which has served us well, and that’s precisely what this colt offers.”
See his profile video, here:
Likely to be a first half of the season sort with very much one eye on Royal Ascot, where we managed to have a number of 2yo runners in 2022, including the Queen Mary 2nd (Maylandsea) and the Windsor Castle 3rd (Eddie's Boy.)
We hope that he can go on to nursery handicaps at, hopefully, the main, summer festivals, where our silks are regularly seen.
We’ve a proven track record of delivering, year in, year out, and we’d hope a fair number of our Goffs UK purchases can deliver on the highest stage, again in 2023.
The same MPR buying team, who bought last year's juveniles did a great job, with 18 pieces of 2yo black type earned in 2022 and no doubt they have struck gold with this one too!
Training Update (13th March): All is fine with him at home and has been cantering away nicely. He has a real zest for life and getting on with things. He looks destined for a mid season 2yo debut over most likely 6f in the north of England or Scotland. He could come to hand earlier but we’d be surprised if 5f is his trip. Eventually he should stay beyond Sprint distances and he’s likely to progress nicely as he matures, both physically and mentally.
