Purchased at the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale, this colt is by the Coolmore stallion WAR COMMAND. In recent memory, the two most taking Royal Ascot, Coventry Stakes winners were undoubtedly Canford Cliffs and War Command. Both were imperious on their day and both went on to be future Group 1 winners at 7f and beyond. War Command, trained by Aidan O'Brien, hails from the multiple stallion producing Ballydoyle contingent and we see no reason why this fantastic son of the champion sire War Front shouldn't make up into a tip top stallion. He's bred in the purple so we see no reason what he can't take rank amongst other Ballydoyle stallions of latter years such as Galileo and Sadler’s Wells. See his stallion page here: http://coolmore.com/stallions/war-command/

Ace bloodstock agent Ross Doyle approached us just prior to Lexington Warlord going through the ring at Goffs, to inform us that he was intending buying, if possible, this stunning son of War Command and asked us if we would be interested in purchasing the horse with them, to be trained by Richard Hannon. We loved him when we saw him and agreed, without hesitation. We were so impressed by his physique and athleticism that we were determined, within reason to purchase him. It was rather a déja vu moment in that this was precisely how we came to purchase at last season's Goffs Premier Sale, our subsequent Listed winner De Bruyne Horse!

He qualifies for the 'Plus 10 Bonus' scheme which means should he win a class 4 maiden or novice he will earn an additional £10,000 on top of his normal win prize money.

Pedigree update (16th Nov): War Command gets his 23rd first crop 2yo winner.

Syndicate manager update: He's had a couple of niggles which have kept him off the track so far and given that he is a big, robust, almost bull of a horse, he's taken some getting fit. We're winning that battle now and he shouldn't be too long before he's racing; all being well, just this side of Christmas. We'll keep him on the go now throughout next year and he could be a very exciting horse, being by War Command, who's progeny seem to be progressing significantly as they mature physically.
