Purchased at the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale, he is by the Coolmore stallion WAR COMMAND. In recent memory, the two most taking Royal Ascot, Coventry Stakes winners were undoubtedly Canford Cliffs and War Command. Both were imperious on their day and both went on to be future Group 1 winners at 7f and beyond. War Command, trained by Aidan O'Brien, hails from the multiple stallion producing Ballydoyle contingent and we see no reason why this fantastic son of the champion sire War Front shouldn't make up into a tip top stallion. He's bred in the purple so we see no reason what he can't take rank amongst other Ballydoyle stallions of latter years such as Galileo and Sadler’s Wells. Ace bloodstock agent Ross Doyle approached us just prior to Lexington Warlord going through the ring at Goffs, to inform us that he was intending buying, if possible, this stunning son of War Command and asked us if we would be interested in purchasing the horse with them, to be trained by Richard Hannon. We loved him when we saw him and agreed, without hesitation. We were so impressed by his physique and athleticism that we were determined, within reason to purchase him. It was rather a déja vu moment in that this was precisely how we came to purchase our subsequent Listed winner De Bruyne Horse from this sale this time last year.
He qualifies for the 'Plus 10 Bonus' scheme.
Syndicate manager update: Unraced as a 2yo he's a fantastic mover with a big long stride. He has a great frame on him and we can't wait to see him debut, as soon as the turf season arrives. He wasn't a cheap yearling so he remains very exciting. This time last year, both Raymond Tusk and Star Of Southwold were both still unraced; take a look at their form now!
