*From the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale 2021. The sale where we purchased our Group 1 winner and Champion European 2yo 2013; TOORMORE (£36,000), Group 2 winner VENTURA TORMENTA and dual Group 2 winner KOOL KOMPANY (£40,000)*
SIRE: Exceed and Excel
DAM: Simmy's Temple (We owned her and she was 2nd in the Brocklesby Conditions Stakes at Doncaster on debut!)
TRAINER: Marco Botti
Generally, in life, you get what you pay for and horseracing can be no different, as a rule. Of course, there are examples, of infrequent rags to riches, but a spend of £72,000 remains quite a heavy spend for our purchasing team (and that’s even before commissions and winter keep, through to March), are taken into account, so it’s pretty easy to see the esteem in which we hold this colt.
However, don’t take our word for it, Marco Botti; who trained the best ever son of EXCEED AND EXDEL in Excelebration (who kept bumping into Frankel throughout his racing career), describes this particular colt as “THE horse, from this sale, who I’d most like to buy.”
We’ve had to dig deep, between us! However, we’re all agreed, that a fairly lofty spend was, in this colt’s case, well worth the faith we’ve invested.
He’s from a very fast and precocious family (his appearance is one of a horse who is way beyond his chronological age) and, as such, looks like he’s a very sharp 2yo for April/May/June and beyond, of his 2yo career 2022. He should start off at 5f and may stay 6f or so, in time.
Sharp, early and classy are words we’d indulge ourselves in, with regard to this sumptuous individual. Take a look at his photos and videos and you can be forgiven for beginning to dream of Royal Ascot 2022. He could just look sensational value for money, this time next year, who knows?
