Hallowed Crown ex Lauren's Girl filly
HALF SISTER TO GRADE I WINNER LA PELOSA!
Purchased at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, this filly is by HALLOWED CROWN. Read about her sire here: https://www.darley.com.au/stallions/our-stallions/hallowed-crown and see her sales video on this page.
It's not very often that the ordinary person in the street has the opportunity to buy into a yearling that is a half sister to a Group/Grade 1 winning, first offspring from the mare. We've managed to secure this however, on behalf of potential syndicate members, in the form of this outstanding yearling filly, by the 3 time Group 1 winning stallion Hallowed Crown.
There really is no compromise with this filly, she has the looks and the pedigree to back up these looks. She has an early foaling date of 25th January and she appears nailed on to be a sharp and early filly, where if at all possible, we'd look to prep her for races like The Queen Mary or The Albany at Royal Ascot. Richard Hannon usually has a runner in both races and the Hannon's have won their fair share of Royal Ascot juvenile races down the years; it could well be that this filly is Richard's Queen Mary or Albany filly for 2019. Let's face it, her Grade 1 winning, year older sister LA PELOSA was placed 2nd in The Albany this June, prior to winning her Grade 1 race over in the USA. Read the Racing Post stories about our filly here; https://www.racingpost.com/bloodstock/bloodstock-latest/updates-abound-as-siblings-to-la-pelosa-and-lady-kaya-head-to-september-sale/347171 and https://www.racingpost.com/bloodstock/bloodstock-latest/shadwell-land-275-000-kodiac-colt-in-challenging-second-session/347307
You can see from her photo and video on this page, that she looks like a racehorse and she's a great mover too. She'll always have a high residual value, being a sister to a Grade 1 winner (the Natalma Stakes, Woodbine), regardless of her on the track performance, but this filly is only a win or two on the track, away from being a very valuable broodmare, too. We wouldn't argue away, that buying a share in her could be seen as an investment!
Whatever the future brings, this fantastic filly should take us on a wonderful racing journey; which is precisely what we like to think we offer to all our syndicate members at Middleham Park Racing. This filly is a perfect opportunity to embrace such a journey with us, with a small eye on future returns from her race career and beyond.
Trainer Update: We saw her at our recent stable visit cantering nicely up the Herridge gallop. She already looks the 'finished article' and is very switched on. With her great pedigree and physique, she looks an exciting filly for the early part of the turf season and beyond.
