Keith Dalgleish has experienced a meteoric rise through the training ranks since he started training some half a dozen years or so ago. He's been Champion trainer in Scotland for the last two seasons; he trained over 100 winners in 2017.
We've had horses with Keith ever since he started and we've enjoyed plenty of success, including listed and Group performers such as Clem Fandango and Miss Bar Beach. Neither were expensive purchases and we find that, so long as we stick to our MPR principles when purchasing for Keith, that his Carluke yard can severely punch above their weight.
Here's a super colt by the first season sire and son of the mighty War Front, DUE DILIGENCE. Due Diligence was a 2yo winner in the USA before being imported to Ballydoyle and racing for Aidan O'Brien. He was a listed winner in Ireland before finishing 2nd in the Group 1 6f Golden Jubilee at Royal Ascot in 2015 to the mighty Slade Power. He was a top-class racehorse and his first progeny are now yearlings. Read more about his sire here: https://www.whitsburymanorstud.co.uk/duediligencemain.html
Goffs U.K. Premier Sale (formerly Doncaster) is a Sale renowned for producing top class horses Advertise £60,000, Toormore £36,000, Kool Kompany £40,000, Group 2 winner Barraquero £30,000; all demonstrate that a purchase price of approximately £50,000 or even less, can produce a performer of the highest echelon. There's no reason why this colt cannot emulate these illustrious sales mates.
We were really impressed when we first saw this gorgeous, dark bay colt. He's a standout individual who moves fantastically well in his slower paces. Horses who walk well, tend to move well in their faster paces too and with the genes of a son of War Front in there too, there's every chance that this colt will be a real racehorse for us as a 2yo and beyond.
