By the stand out sire Presenting, this gelding carries the most remarkable looks and has the breeding of a top national hunt family. His pedigree oozes quality - from the first two dam’s alone he’s related to high quality horses; Harbour Patrol, Living Next Door, Rock on the Moor and non other than Get Me Out Of Here (Jonjo O’Neil was the underbidder on this horse). The dam, Lasado brings plenty to the party as well, from her three foals to race, she has produced a 143 chaser and he cost pennies suggesting he wasn’t the most attractive horse and still managed to be rated 143!
He has really only been going through the motions so far, having three runs in bumpers and then coming back over hurdles after his break. Nicky says "He began by winning at Taunton, which would not be a track I would have expected to suit, but it was still a very good debut and I mistakenly took him to Musselburgh’s valuable card in February for their bumper. This time the track did beat him, even though he did finish his race very well, it was just simply too sharp. His third and final run of his debut season was at a more suitable Wetherby, where he won again with his penalty. He is a horse with enormous potential and an excellent temperament, so I think the future looks very bright."
Syndicate manager update (25th November): He’s a very talented, dual bumper winner. 2nd last time out over and inadequate 2m on ground too soft for his liking over hurdles. He now qualifies for a handicap mark and in his trainer’s words, “could be seriously well handicapped” on his old bumper form. God willing, the World could be his oyster, in handicaps this season. Bred to be even better over fences, he’s a thoroughly exciting individual.
