Purchased at THE sale for 2-year-old winners, the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale, this filly is 'Plus 10' bonus registered.
Keith Dalgleish has done fantastically well since setting up training a few years ago. In 2017, he trained more winners than any other Scottish trainer due to his hard work and extremely excellent art of freshening others' horses up but also in the training of 2yo's too. Our own Group and Listed performers Clem Fandango and Miss Bar Beach are just two examples of Keith's ability to train very classy 2yo fillies.
We have found him, what we believe to be another fantastic filly. This time by the fabulous 2yo sire Dandy Man. We believe be Dandy Man to be one of the most underrated sires, standing at Joe Foley's Ballyhane Stud so we believe this filly is really well bought at £40,000. She hails from the same farm/vendor as our Group 1 winner and Champion 2 year old Toormore, who we bought from this sale in 2012. If this filly went on to achieve half as much as he did, we'd all be delighted. Redpender Stud do such a great job of nurturing young stock, enabling them to fulfil every ounce of their ability once in training.
We were particularly impressed at the sale by this filly's physique and movement. She looks powerful enough to be a colt, which should stand her in great stead against her contemporaries. She possesses a fabulous pedigree too, with no less than 11 Black Type performers in her first 3 generations including a Champion 2yo in Ireland and an older horse in Germany in the form of GOLDEN SILCA. The page is packed with top class performers. This filly's dam has already produced two very talented individuals and with the injection of speed into the pedigree that Dandy Man affords, it could see the dam's progeny hit new heights; she's already produced an 87-rated horse so she is performing quite well as it is.
The combination of Keith's expertise, a very sensible £40,000 price tag and the injection of Dandy Man speed, could see this filly hitting some pretty lofty heights in 2018 and beyond.
Syndicate Manager Update: She had a good blow out at Musselburgh which should bring her on nicely. We’ll step her back in trip next and we should have plenty of fun with her over the summer over sprint trips.
