41 WINNERS UP FOR THE YEAR!
We are pretty pleased with yesterday's results from our 4 runners at Musselburgh and Thirsk:

WINNER - LEXINGTON LAW for Alan King at Thirsk: Trying turf for the first time in 8 months, we were unsure of how he would travel, having been plying his trade on the all-weather, but Danny Tudhope had him in a lovely rhythm as he broke well from the stalls towards the head of the field. His syndicate manager Tom says: "He showed a very willing attitude inside the final furlong to repel the challenge of the favourite and of course the horse more than played his part but I do feel that a lot of that win was down to the tactics adopted and the ride and gutsy call that Danny made heading into the bend." Bringing up a treble on the day for Danny, it does seem like every day is a good day for him at the moment! This moved him to joint top of the jockey's championship with Oisin Murphy.

WINNER - INNER CIRCLE for Roger Fell at Thirsk: Which means we won the final two races of the meeting. We are delighted that he has won for his owners. He has been a very consistent horse, but always found one or two too good on the day. A brilliant ride from Ben Curtis to switch him off at the back and to perfectly deliver him in to win.

VENTURA FLAME 2nd (by a nose) for Keith Dalgleish at Musselburgh. Oh so close for her, just unfortunate that her jockey lost his rein in the final strides. Next time!

SWEET JOANNA was a very good 2nd on debut for Richard Fahey at Thirsk, finishing just a 'head' behind the unbeaten Magical Max (winner of the Reg Griffin at York on his previous start.) A very good performance despite her lack of race experience - as they both pulled over 2 lengths away from the 3rd horse. Her last few available shares were obviously snapped up post race - The Racing Post listed her as "one to note" ( see the gallery).

Well done to all owners.

It was a first ever 'double' for Paul, one our owners and he tells us that he is still buzzing about how it feels. He says "A big shout to the Alan King and the Roger Fell team for providing an amazing double today at Thirsk. Canny rides from Danny Tudhope and Ben Curtis driving Lexington Law and Inner Circle home. 1st ever double as an owner. Wonderful day at Thirsk . Memories to last a lifetime. Big thanks MPR team . Fantastic stuff - never forget that."
