WINNER 58 OF 2022: OUTRUN THE STORM, trained by Richard Fahey and ridden by Tony Hamilton: 'All Races Live on RacingTV Handicap' over 7f at Leicester on Saturday.
Tony took him down early, to keep him cool, calm and collected; which he was. Drawn in 6 on the stands side, he broke well but took a keen hold in front. Tony held on to him for as long as he could but he faced a sustained challenge from the favourite who loomed upsides over 1f out. He was asked to sustain his pace and really kept on well inside the final furlong, as the two of them fought it out to the line. A photo was called, but we thought that he had just held on and then he was announced as the winner - by a head. It was a very quick time too - the only race on the card to record a 'below standard' time. The Racing Post quoting 'fast by 0.28s'

Timeform awarded him with a career best rating of 85 and say: "Had contested a big-field, competitive handicap on his previous start and resumed winning ways in this less-pressured environment, finding plenty for pressure considering how keen he'd been early; made running, took strong hold, tackled from 2f out, kept on gamely."
Syndicate manager Tom says: "Well done to his owners. He was really tough there to fight off the favourite and Tony gave him a great ride. The time was impressive too, so I am delighted with that. A fourth career win for him and lovely to see the comments from Timeform."
We had 30 owners racing with our horses on Saturday and 50 are heading off to watch their horses on Monday, so it's very busy at MPR HQ! All eyes are on Royal Ascot this week and the weather forecast looks wonderful. We are declaring our runners this morning for Wednesday and later when the cards for Saturday are published, you can see a full list of our RA team in a news story coming up later today.
A very exciting week ahead. Good luck to all runners from here and around the world.
