Winner 86 of 2026: SI WHITE, trained by Sir Mark Prescott and ridden by Dylan Hogan. The ‘Get Raceday Ready Handicap’ over 1m3f at Southwell.

Made a return to the racetrack after a 174-day break, as well as stepping up to this trip for the first time. Si White looked magnificent in the preliminary, with his eye-catching big white facial markings, and despite his wide draw, Dylan got him into a great position after the start and travelled well just behind the leading pair.

Si White still showed signs of greenness as the field turned for home and our gelding came under pressure. But once Dylan straightened him up, the penny dropped, and he really picked up to finish his race strongly. A huge step forward since we saw him in novice company, and you would like to think he will improve from this run, after 174 days off the track.

Timeform rated his first victory with a t65: "Proved a textbook type of his yard returning 6 months off, upped in trip for his handicap debut and duly showing much improved form to get off the mark; slowly into stride, prominent, ridden over 3f out, headway to lead over 1f out, hung left inside final 1f, kept on; he'll stay further and can progress again."
