As Nice A Filly As We Saw All Week

By the high class, Richard Fahey trained, Group 1 performer Space Traveller, her pedigree is packed with both black type performers and precocious 2yo performers to boot. Her sire, a Royal Ascot winner himself, progressed with age so this filly ought not be just an out and out 2yo - she will progress, given her very decent size and scope. She is the sister to the 93 RPR rated, still unexposed 3 time winner MINSTREL KNIGHT, whose earnings accrued, to date, amount to £78,836 no less. Furthermore, her 2nd and 3rd dams are both 2yo winners. 

However, her pedigree was not the only reason we were determined to buy her for the £65,000 it eventually took to secure her services on behalf of MPR, her looks and style of movement, we felt, we as good as any other filly we saw all week in the entire sale. There were well over a dozen more expensive fillies sold at the sale, however, they tended to be by sires such as Havana Grey, Mehmas, Dark Angel and Blue Point so it’s a great testament that our filly ranked as high as she did overall across the 2 day sale.

We’re pretty sure she’ll rate highly amongst our 2yo progeny in 2026, so where better to have her trained than by, not only the best trainer of 2yo fillies in the country (eg Venetian Sun) but also the trainer of this filly’s sire renowned sire, Space Traveller
