Nicky Henderson fell in love with this BLUE BRESIL gelding at the sales and he was determined to bring him home to Seven Barrows. As Nicky says: “This horse came highly recommended by a vendor who is a fantastic judge. He’s a sensational mover on the lunge, and you have to love him, when you see him perform in there.”

Read about his sire here:

He is a superb combination of strength and athleticism and he has a substantial physique that will be suited to all disciplines, but especially hurdling and chasing, in time. He’s a beautiful dark bay, who is so very easy on the eye, and he moves like a dream when walking, trotting and lunging.

He’s a half-brother, no less, to the hugely talented Grade 2 winner, HARAMBE, for Alan King. This gelding is such a strapping individual and taken from his sales’ prices alone, you can easily believe that this gelding is far and away the most talented, of the mare’s progeny to date, so, to suggest that this stunning individual, will prove a better proposition that his Grade 2 winning half-brother Harambe, remains a perfectly feasible concept to purvey.

Our Nicky Henderson, Seven Barrows string has really taken a few boosts as we have expanded our team; from the Kim Muir 3rd, Premier Bond, through to the Listed winning mare and Grade 2 placed Marie's Rock.

Pedigree update notes:

Further Blue Bresil sire news (6th August):

Training Update: Probably our most exciting, unraced gelding that we have at Nicky Henderson’s Seven Barrows. A huge, gorgeous, black son of probably the most up and coming sire, Blue Bresil. He’s a half-brother to a Greatwood hurdle winner in Harambe so the World is his oyster. If he turned out to be the next Bobsworth or Might Bite, it wouldn’t be the hugest of huge surprises. Nicky says: "He is such a lovely big horse but taking it all so well." says Nicky. "This lad moves with effortless ease and he carries himself well for such a big horse - he has turned into a superb specimen and is starting to look the part. When asked to stride on a little, he has responded well to this."

Watch him start in the centre and then cruise upsides the front horse:

Here's Nicky giving an update and overview on him, to our National Hunt Manager Tom.
