The racehorse that was, and the super sire that is, KINGMAN needs no introduction. Outstanding in his Champion 3yo miler’s career, he’s just about the best young stallion out there. "The Classic winning miler siring Classic winning milers." Read about him here: https://stallions.juddmonte.com/stallion/kingman
Couple that with a Selkirk dam, who has already produced a 100 rated horse, from a family littered with Group 1 performers (the 2nd dam is the mighty MY BRANCH, no less) and we believe we could be onto something really special here.
Two of the top seven Kingman progeny, are out of Selkirk mares: KING OF COMEDY and KINROSS, so that's a good 'nick' from a breeding perspective.

Rarely do we spend in excess of £100 000 on unraced stock at Middleham Park, but when we do, we tend to happen upon BLACK TYPE, STAKES WINNERS e.g., Group 1 winner and St Leger runner up Ventura Storm, Dee Stakes winner Viren’s Army, and currently, the listed winner and Group 3 placed filly Ventura Diamond.
This particular colt oozes speed, “he looks very fast” his trainer has been quoted as saying and he possesses plenty of size and substance; he won’t just be an early 2yo who doesn’t train on, given his imposing stature. He could make up into a high class 3yo too. If he were to emulate horses like Hugo’s Home Of The Brave, Galileo Gold and Ebro River, we wouldn’t be surprised at all. In a market where the bidders were lining up left right and centre at Tattersalls, we’re delighted to bring him in, precisely on the current Kingman nomination budget (the cost to send a mare to Kingman in 2021 was £150 000). You can see what value for money (at this stage, anyway) that this fabulous colt represents. He’ll go straight to Hugo’s to be broken in and we can see him, in the flesh, at this weekend’s Open Morning in Newmarket.
A fabulous opportunity to partake in a yearling colt by the mighty KINGMAN, who’s potential is of the highest order.
