Purchased from Ireland's premier sale; The Goffs Orby, he is by the former Champion European 3-Year-Old and multiple Group 1 and Classic winning stallion, ALMANZOR, a son of the equally superb sire WOOTTON BASSETT.

Out of a LISTED winning, Dansili mare, this colt is regally bred, and progressively regally bred, so befitting an inmate of the master of Fitzroy House, Michael Bell, who excels with horses whose pedigree and form develop, as their career progresses. Read more about his sire here:

From the family of 13 black type performers, this athletic, loose moving colt, looks set to thrive, once he encounters 8f + as a 3yo.

Training Update: Almanzor’s progeny are taking a bit longer than we may have anticipated, to come to the boil, given he was a by a Champion 2yo in France. Almanzor did happen to excel himself as a 3yo, however, and that’s the way it’s looking with his progeny, on the track. We’ve gelded this fellow over the Winter and he needs a step up in trip to 1m2f now. He could easily be the sort of horse who runs up a sequence of wins, now things are aligned in his favour. He has the looks of a middle-distance individual and that’s where we’re heading. Horses of his ilk sell particularly well to race abroad, or to the jump’s fraternity, which is a nice assurance to have. If we were to develop into a Group horse, we’d keep him and extra year or so, but in all likelihood, we’ll sell him on at the end of this Flat season. Open to any amount of improvement. TIMEFORM RATED: 65. His race entries/declarations will show on this page.
