Undoubtedly, one of Newmarket’s most up and coming trainers, is George Boughey. On the back of his success, we’ve decided to send George a quality filly, with a strong pedigree.

Her late sire ZOFFANY, was the sire of our Group 1 winner and St Leger 2nd placed VENTURA STORM, who is mentioned in this story about him: https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/zoffany-dies-aged-13/

She possesses a fantastic pedigree, already being a sister to a black type performer, and her walk and demeanour simply cannot be faulted. Her consignors, Oghill House Stud, were very, very sweet on her, labelling her as “a filly with the greatest temperament, we’ve ever had.”

Now that’s some praise indeed, from people who have been in the game for decades. Where fillies are concerned, the importance of a good mindset, cannot be over stated.

Racing Update (May): She was ultra-consistent and running through the line strongly every time we sent her to the races. We tried her over hurdles at Hereford, because she was ‘a natural’ over obstacles at home. Unfortunately, although she travelled like the winner for most of the race at Hereford, a combination of soft ground that day, and flattening 2 out, saw her run ‘on empty’ after the last. Subsequently, in her two Flat runs, she did not finished the race off. We think Hereford took plenty out of her, so we’ve given her a break, to put her condition back on. We’ll jump a hurdle again, on Summer ground this time though, and intersperse the Flat too. The Flat will be her primary objectives throughout the summer it’s fair to say. Unless she really takes off under either code, she’ll probably head to the Horses In Training Sale in October. She’s well bred, and she’s a winner, so she should retain a reasonable residual value for the paddocks. Her race entries/declarations will show on this page
