William Muir (LAMBOURN) bought him for us at the Premier Sales in the Country, Tattersalls Part 1; formerly the Houghton Sales. Only the very cream of the crop are admitted to that particular sale. Over the years the sale has produced Group winner after Group winner. The horse cost 40,000 gns. This colt is much the most expensive horse we have ever bought and we hope he can take us on to a really high level of involvement. He is beautifully balanced and there is simply no compromise about this colt. He is mature enough to be very competitive as a 2yo but has real presence enough to then go on again as a 3yo. Just perfect for an active syndicate life.
His pedigree is exceptional. The dam is bred in the purple. She is a half sister to 2 Group 1 winners who between them won The Coronation Cup, The St Leger, The Canadian International Stakes and The Flower Bowl Stakes. All Group 1 races. The sire, although a 5f 2yo winner himself, went on to much better things as he grew older, for the Godolphin operation including winning the Group 1 SUSSEX STAKES no less.
