Two more winners takes us to 85 in total this year

Mon 13 Nov 2017

On Friday evening, the plan to step BLUE HARMONY up in trip to 7f worked rather well at Newcastle. The market 66/1 clearly didn't get it right, but trainer Karl Burke and syndicate manager Mike Prince did with their strategy. She travelled nicely throughout the race and we particularly liked her attitude in the final furlong. She was a little green when she came upsides the leader, but she stuck her neck out nicely and ran all the way through the line under Ben Curtis. Karl thought that she’d improve for the step up in trip and thinks the sounder surface definitely helped. We’ll see what mark the handicapper gives her tomorrow and we’ll make a plan from there. There are just a few shares remaining in the 2 year old daughter of Bahamian Bounty: http://www.middlehamparkracing.net/horses/view,blue-harmony_97.htm

Today SECOND PAGE brought up our 85th winner of the year. A great ride by Rossa Ryan for Richard Hannon at Southwell, he won by 3 lengths, even after starting slowly. He was in first time blinkers and seemed to enjoy the fibresand surface.
So pleased for his connections, as he has been in the winners enclosure seven times, but the 1st position had eluded him until today.

Well done to all owners.
