Happy Monday, as MOVE OVER and PETE SO HIGH both win today.

Mon 07 Aug 2017

This season has seen us achieve 12 'doubles' and today our two winners also included a welcome £10,000 'Plus 10 Bonus' cheque for the owners of MOVE OVER.

Both todays winners are trained by Richard Hannon, who was at Salisbury and he was very pleased with what he saw. Sean Levey had planned to lead on MOVE OVER and the start went perfectly, as he went to the front and travelled sweetly. The last off the bridle, when challenged, he picked up again to come home by a length. He has been a revelation with the use of blinkers and Tim, the syndicate manager suggests that he could be one for the Group 3 Acomb Stakes at the Ebor meeting. Richard commented: "That was a lovely ride and the horse seems to be still improving. The form of that race should work out nicely as we liked our horse that finished back in fourth. He is tough and put his experience to good use today"

PETE SO HIGH has been amazingly consistent, only being out of the top 4 in 2 of his 11 races and never a straight forward ride, Silvestre De Sousa was masterful on him at Ripon today to get his head home in front. He rode him with more restraint this time and he settled nicely in behind. He picked up well to the line always holding the eventual second. Richard says: "He is a tough horse who may be better off ridden in behind them. He has won well today and proves he gets this trip and further."

Well done to both sets of owners.

Amazingly that means we have had 54 winners and 54 seconds this year!
