Another yearling is added and will be trained by Sir Mark Prescott

Mon 04 Sep 2017

There is almost certainly no finer trainer out there than the great Sir Mark Prescott, the current custodian of Heath House Stables, Newmarket. We have forged a fantastic relationship in recent years with the Baronet; his training record for us is 100% i.e.. Every horse we have owned with the Heath House maestro, has won at least one race. The flagship horse of our relationship is FLYMETOTHESTARS is a 4 time winner rated 106 and who has finished 3rd in the Northumberland Plate and 2nd in the Betfred Ebor no less, beaten a head in 2017.

We have asked Sir Mark and his trusted team, including bloodstock agent Jeremy Brummitt, to source us another FLYMETOTHESTARS i.e.. a yearling who has top class potential in the middle distance to staying department. We very much hope that in this fantastic son of the German Derby Gp1 and Prix Ganay Gp1 winning young sire Pastorius, we have the next Sir Mark superstar. He's out of a Hawk Wing (Lockinge winner) mare from a top class French and German staying, Group winning family. His 2nd dam Be My Lady has produced Bathyron, a winner from three to four from 1m1f to 1m7f, including at Group 2 and Group 3 level and was 2nd in the Group 1 Prix Du Cadran. It's saying a lot but if you were to suggest that in 4 years' time, this horse is the winner of the Ascot Gold Cup, you could perfectly believe it. Under Sir Mark's tutelage, we can rest assured that every ounce of ability that our colt possesses will be eked out and capitalised upon. The sky really could be the limit for this stunning colt.

Sir Mark is fantastic at realising assets too i.e. The resale angle of owning a horse with Sir Mark Is second to none. By this, we are suggesting that once a Sir Mark horse has fulfilled its Flat potential, any horse retains a significantly high residual value, often amongst the National Hunt training fraternity. We have two very strong measures of success with this Pastorius colt; achievement and resale return.

He is currently being broken in and we really look forward to seeing him on the gallops shortly. See a video of him walking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38TFs7_Ji3M
