23rd Nov' syndicate manager update:
"His form tailed off at the end of this season, but was struggling with his breathing. He’ll have a wind operation over the winter and he could be well handicapped if he can recapture his previous form in 2018."
We purchased Tawdeea from the 2015 Tattersalls Horses-In-Training sale and he has proved to be a fabulous value for money purchase. We placed him with David because of his track record with such horses. Our own G Force for example, also arrived at David's a maiden (and also from the Richard Hannon yard) and he won the Group 1 Haydock Betfred Sprint and subsequently became European Champion Sprinter!
He's by Intikhab out of a Pivotal mare and in his days at Richard's, Tawdeea (as his name would suggest) was Arab owned, by Sheikh Hamdan in fact. Rarely do the Maktoums keeps their horses beyond their 3yo career unless they have proven group form in the bank. We were very lucky to have a certain set of circumstances come together for us to be able to secure him.
