Red Jazz ex Faithfulbond colt
Purchased at THE sale for 2-year-old winners, the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale, this colt is by RED JAZZ, who stands at the famous Ballyhane Stud, where our very own 2013 Champion 2yo Toormore was conceived. Subsequently we have had plenty of successes on the track from both Ballyhane offspring as well as from horses by Ballyhane Stallions Arakan, Dandy Man and now Red Jazz.
If you are looking for a hardy, speedy, early and hopefully very talented 2yo for 2018, then look no further.
This colt is all power and prowess. He strikes you as the sort of horse that you'd want on your side if you were to go into battle; a real no-nonsense racehorse with a fabulous temperament. Very speedily bred on both his sire's and his dam's side; sped on speed at is known. With the looks to match his pedigree, you'd imagine he'll be a 5f and 6f speedster in the first half of the 2018 season but his size and his birthday of 12th April means there will be plenty of improvement to come from him, both over the Winter and during the second half of his 2018 campaign. He's not just an early, one trick pony.
Out of a Mare by the very fast Kings Stand Winner ELBIO, and now she's visited the Challenge Stakes winning sprinter Red Jazz you can see that speed is what this very robust colt is bred for. Both Red Jazz and Elbio progressed with age and that should apply too, to this hardy colt.
He looks a very good sort of colt for all big Sales races in 2018 which often catty pots of well in excess of £100,000. He looks just the ticket for the Weatherby's Super Sprint held at Newbury in July given his very sensible and reasonable price tag of £10,000 in August 2017. Keith Dalgleish has performed so well with horse just like this colt for us, notably the inexpensively bought €11,000 Clem Fandango and €9000 Miss Bar Beach, both of whom are Listed and Group performers. Could this speedily bred son of Red Jazz be another?
*Note that the monthly training fees are not payable until March 1st 2018. All costs incurred until then are included in the upfront share payment shown and no further upfront payment is required for the horse throughout his entire racing career.
