Race entries

Jessica Harrington needs no introduction as a trainer; her name is synonymous with the training of top class National Hunt horses this side of the Irish Sea in addition to her native Ireland.  She has carried pretty much all before her of late, winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup this season with Sizing John. Represented in most of the top Grade 1 Chases this spring her CV was second to none in them.

The plan was hatched during the Royal Ascot festival to purchase a young, unraced horse with Jessica to race over the coming seasons in both Ireland and Great Britain alike.  It should prove a fabulous experience being involved in this horse from the very start of his career, right through to hopefully competing in top class hurdles and chases at the Aintree, Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals. We can't wait to see this gorgeous son of Getaway make his racecourse debut in late 2017 or early 2018. However, rest assured we very much see this 3yo gelding as a long-term prospect who, with any luck, will be racing for us for a number of seasons to come.

He's a quite outstandingly built individual who is a superb and fluid mover. He has great size and physique but threatens to fill out still further as he matures and progresses.

He is from a fantastic family which includes the top-class PUFFIN BILLY and MOLE BOARD no less. He's in the very best hands possible and we really couldn't be more excited about this high class hurdling and chasing prospect. The world really could be his oyster!

Latest Update (14th August): We saw him yesterday at an owners stable visit at Jessica Harrington’s yard. He had just arrived back in the yard having been away to be broken in.  It was his first time in the indoor barn at Commonstown and he looked particularly well balanced as he cantered around, which isn’t easy for a young horse, especially in a new environment.  He looks to have a lovely way of going, along with a good temperament and Jessie is pleased with everything so far. He will soon begin a steady cantering regime on the gallops with his work slowly being increased over the coming months.  He will then have a break over the Christmas period and when he comes back into work in January we should know a lot more about him and will have a much better idea as to when he is likely to debut. (Two new phtotographs and a video of him walking in the barn have been added above).
