We have recently acquired this very forward, attractive 5yo gelding by Bahhare. He has come over from Ireland where John has bought all his best horses from. He is very much a horse for now (he will be racing plenty of times in the coming months). He has a Flat pedigree but has taken more time than his pedigree suggests. However he is now ready and raring to go. His future lies mainly over hurdles for now, but he will jump a fence eventually. A great horse to be involved in.

John Upson says ' he is not my typical type of purchase. He has more speed than stamina, but that is the way NH racing is going. He should be effective at 2m over hurdles and a bit further over fences given time. He has settled in really well at the yard since coming over from Ireland'

We have always thought a little bit of him and it was no real surprise to see him run an excellent race on his bumper debut at Hereford to be second with us and the winner pulling a long long way clear of the 3rd and 4th placed horses. Lake Barrine gave the odds on favourite which cost 42,000gns quite a bit to think about until the winner asserted in the final 100yards. The fav was off the bridle turning for home. Charlie Poste who rode Lake Barrine suggests we may me able to turn the tables next time with the experience of this debut under our belt. Lake Barrine may have another bumper run but he is destined to give us some really good fun over hurdles and fences in seasons to come; he is still only a 4yo. He showed good speed on debut and should be fully effective at 2m and 2m4f over obstacles. The form of the bumper has a strong look to it, the winner was second to Group 2 flat winner Turbo Lynn on its run prior to today's run and the third horse had been just touched off for second place when third on its only previous run.
