The Trainer - Ann Duffield -  Ann has trained well over 250 winners in her training career. She is based just outside Middleham in the picturesque North Yorkshire moors. She is married to the well known and respected jockey, George Duffield MBE, who now he has retired from race riding is assistant trainer. They make a super team and are always very welcoming at the yard, whenever you wish to go. Ann has had a great last couple of years with umpteen winners including the 2yo winners  Indigo Nights (who beat Godfrey Street at Chester and who at 5f has only been beaten to date by Masta Plasta), Smart Cassie(who ran in the Molecombe Stakes at Glorious Goodwood), Island Prince, Alugat, First Among Equals, Pauvic, Yankee Bravo, Bonjour Allure from a small team of two year olds as well as other 2yo’s placed with promise for the future including Mullady Penelope. Even the big yards are unable to match that sort of strike rate. Ann and George are an ambitious team and have extended their yard and taken on Royston Ffrench as their stable jockey to help fulfill their aim of becoming one of the top yards in the north.
